Spring Break '09

Gram & Papa called to see if they could take the boys with them for a few days of Spring Break. The original plan was to get the boys, their bikes & load up the camper for a few days of camping & hiking. You know what they say though "April showers bring MUD!!!!". Even though this was in March, not April it had rained & rained. Papa decided it best not to camp. It would not be near as much fun trapped in a camper in the rain. They ended up getting to stay in a hotel with an indoor pool. C & C were SO EXCITED!!!!
I was so glad the boys were able to go & make so many memories with my Mom & Dad. I have so many memories of my own of Spring Break with my Grandpa & Grandma. I still remember every trip they took us on.
Plan B ended up being to drive to Georgetown & then see what outings they could take from there weather permitting. They ended up being able to do SO MANY THINGS.
Gram & Papa wanted to make sure they got a good night's rest the night before they left. I think they did.
This is what they got to do the first day they got to the hotel.

Ready for bed & the next day's adventure.

For the Estes boys breakfast is the most important meal of the day. They could not wait for the breakfast buffet. Cade even tried eggs & LOVED them.

The entrance to the Natural Bridge Caverns. We were not sure how Cade would do with this since it is dark inside. There was a little light & then they turned them out for just a few minutes & he did fine. Gram & Papa talked him through it & he didn't even cry........YAY!!!

Next, they all voted to drive through the Wildlife Ranch. The boys enjoyed feeding all of the animals.

Their favorite was getting close to the ostrich. They couldn't wait for Rob to see this picture because he is soooooo scared of this bird.

One day they got to eat at Papa & Caleb's favorite restaurant. They were both excited.

Then off to Enchanted rock for a full afternoon of hiking. We didn't know how Cade would do, but he did great. He had no trouble keeping up & making it to the top.

Once they made it to the top they thought it would be fun to climb down the other side of it. They had the best time & were completely worn out.

Thank you Gram & Papa for a fun filled Spring Break. I am so thankful to my parents for spending this time with the boys.
