Jim has been an uncle for over 32 years. At first he was an uncle, but over time he has become more like a brother to Rob & B. When Jim & Laurie had Kennedy we decided that Rob & I would be uncle and aunt to her because it was just easier that way. Then Caleb came just 7 months later, so they became aunt & uncle to him.
As we all know Cade does not give his love away easily. He is very reserved with his hugs & telling you he loves you. With Jim that has never been the case. He lets Jim hug him & tell him how much he loves him. What a special bond to have with Rob & his son.
Wednesday Jensen came over with a jet-pak Jim had made him & PROMISED Cade his Daddy would make him one. Sure enough Thursday night at dinner Jim showed up with jet-pak in hand. The boys were so excited to play together with them.
The next day this is what Cade said about Jim.
I like my jet-pak. Thank you Uncle Jim for making it.
