There has been a LONG standing division in Rob's family when it comes to Texas & OU. Half of the men in the family LOVE one & the other half LOVE the other. Rob has for as long as he can remember LOVED OU. At first it was a love of his because his Uncle Jim loved them & he did EVERYTHING Jim did. As time went on he loved them for their players & their GREAT football. From the time Caleb was born Rob couldn't wait for our children to be old enough to take a road trip over The Red River. Now that we have 2 boys the division of the 2 teams lives on. Caleb LOVES OU, Cade LOVES Texas. Back in December we took a very long road trip & on the way home took Cade on a tour of the University of Texas. We decided to only be fair & take a trip to the University of Oklahoma for Caleb. We did a little research & found out that the perfect time for a trip was the first weekend in August........can you say HOT????? The players would be beginning 2 a days and you could go meet the players. So we surprised the boys with a trip. Rob wanted us to get up EARLY so we could be there by 10 AM. We left 5 minutes later then he wanted & even with a couple of stops for food and pics we made it right on time.
loaded up & ready to go
Each person is allowed to bring 1 item to be signed. I made the boys something that would hopefully be big enough to get all the autographs.
walking up & seeing the crowd. the players sit under the tents.....in the shade.....did i mention it was HHHHOOOTTT?????
After we were in the car & cooled off we drove around the campus & stopped to take lots of pictures.
After we drove around some we decided to make our way to our hotel, but of course what trip is complete without first finding a Wal*Mart?
We showered, layed around, ate dinner, walked around the mall (all of which I didn't get pictures of) then went back to the hotel and fell asleep.
We had a great 1st day in Norman, OK!!!!!!!!!

I would've let Caleb borrow the OU sweatshirt had it been a little colder
